Red Bull VS Gatorade on Twitter

This post will be comparing two of the industries top brands Red bull and Gatorade’s Twitter pages. Red bull is “tweeting” approximately 1 to 2 times in a day, regularly sharing picture and video of famous athletes and stunts that red bull sponsors. They are also advertising their SnapChat account by showing snap chat clips and retweeting tweets from big event or celebrities that mention Red Bull. Each Red Bull tweet has a clickable link that directly takes viewers to the Official Red Bull website. The company seems to be incorporating more Hash tags and clickable links on their twitter page than their Facebook page. After further analysis of Redbull's Twitter Page it shows that the company does apply the 50/50 rule more on their twitter page there are multiple posts and retweets of celebrities who have mentioned red bull in their post as well as promoting  other sport events such as EDC20 event. The companies red bull page was created in 2008 and has gained more than 2.13 million followers and have posted more than 74 thousand tweets over the years.

Gatorade’s Twitter page seems to have more regular posts in comparison to their Facebook page; In contrast to Gatorade's Facebook page there seems to be less post about the Gatorade’s product line and more pictures and video of sports icons and events, that Gatorade sponsors or is directly involved in. The brand also continues to use famous Hash tags like “#PlayCool, and #WinFromWithin to further promote the company. Going through their twitter page it seems that Gatorade’s page seems to be applying the 50/50 Rule more on their twitter page; for example Gatorade is retweeting Timber wolves post about Kia Roy unanimously being selected for the NBA all Rookie First Team, and Bryce Harper being the first player in MLB history to reach base 7 times without an at-bat. Gatorade's twitter page was created in 2009 and has approximately 366 thousand followers with over 18 thousand tweets.
