Red Bull VS Gatorade on Facebook- Erma Baig

Red Bull VS Gatorade on Facebook

This post will be comparing two of the industries top brands Red bull and Gatorade’s Facebook pages. As soon as you log on to red bulls Facebook page majority of the content posted is consisted of picture and video of famous athletes and stunts that red bull sponsors. In contrast; Gatorade seems to be posting applying traditional marketing methods by always advertising their product line and showing famous sports personalities using Gatorade products. In as span of 24 hours Red bull posts approximately 7 to 8 posts in a day where as Gatorade on average only posts only once every 5 to 6; also every Gatorade post includes some sort of hash tag of brand slogan, #playcool is a hash tags which is being heavily being used by the brand. Red bull’s posts however differ since every picture or video is just being described hash tag or brand slogans are rarely being used. After looking over more than 30 post from each of the two brands it clearly shows that the 50/50 rule was not used.
The picture below shows one of Red bulls most Successful post “ The First ever BMX backflip down stairs” with over 1 million views, 34 thousand comments and more that 6.5 thousand shard on the post. This post was more successful because it is showing extreme stunts that have never been done before and are entertaining for the viewers.

The second picture is of showing one of Gatorade most successful posts, which was a commercial of Gatorade product line; it has approximately 1.3 million views, 3.2 thousand comments and over 170 shares. This post was successful because it incorporated sport, sport celebrities and the product in one great 90 second commercial.

Monster vs XYIENCE on Fan Pages, and Influencers, and Inbound Links

XYIENCE does have a Facebook page, however it was not possible to find a fan page that was not an official one owned by XYIENCE. That being said there are remnants of collaborations with American college and universities where a contest was previously held the most recent one was February of this year! There is not a celebrity that has endorsed XYIENCE but a sports reporter from ESPN named Sam Ponder has been acquired to do commercials.

A recent influencer would be a review from someone with followers. A YouTuber named “Food review Shawty” has recently reviewed XYIENCE and has at least 2300 followers. If you do not have time to watch his review he rated XYIENCE 5/5.

Another website named Body Building Pro, a website that promotes healthy and safe products to its fan base. This website specializes in helping people who want to build muscle or currently are body builders that want to maintain their muscular bodies. This positive review would definitely influence people to give XYIENCE a try!

Monster also does not any unofficial fan pages, but it is mentioned in a very popular website when it comes to useful facts and info on caffeine and caffeine containing products. A positive review would help attract more customers through this product rating site. Many people who are influenced by informed decisions will benefit from this review and be more likely to purchase Monster Energy drinks.

Another review for monster on the front page of SERP, is a bad one. This is not exactly something Monster wants as a brand! The bashing continues to outline all the bad that comes as part of being a Monster customer. The verdict is that in small amounts once in a while a Monster Energy drink is not bad for you. But with sponsored athletes and Monster pushing it as an everyday routine there is a bit of a contradiction here.

Lastly another review of monster on the first page of SERP, is a negative one. On WEBMD a very popular health site. Somehow Monster is being linked to the death of a human being. Amidst the recent links, it is safe to say XYIENCE wins when it comes to Fan pages, influencers, inbound links for both brands.

Monster vs XYIENCE Which Company Tweets a Nicer Song to be heard on Twitter

Twitter is the a social media power house, it has exploded in the recent decade and is almost the go-to for up to date opinions from companies, celebrities, and politicians. But it also allows regular people to respond to current events and even make public complaints against companies or specific people. Let’s measure these brands up and see who dominates Twitter. Monster tweets every day and multiple times a day almost even safe to say they tweet about every 6-8 hours. XYIENCE only posts daily. Monster definitely dominates this category. Monster posts mostly pictures and video clips of its sponsored events and uses as much hashtags as possible. XYIENCE also posts many pictures, but no videos and includes as many hashtags as it can. When following the 50/50 rule I would say that XYIENCE follows it better than Monster. Technically speaking this would be a win for XYIENCE. Monster uses many hashtags of athletes and events it sponsors. XYIENCE only uses hashtags that are general like national burger day or other mentioned holidays in America. XYIENCE really needs to up its game with hashtags and keywords, Monster wins this one. XYIENCE does not have a pinned tweet and the average reaction to its tweets makes it hard to choose a most successful tweet. However Monster’s pinned tweet being its most successful one in the past 25 days has had 1.2k retweets and 3k likes. XYIENCE is lacking content on Twitter, Monster is a clear winner here. I think Monster was successful because they posted a short clip of Valentino Rossi, as well as a YouTube link an emoji and relatable hashtags. XYIENCE should take notes!
